Plug In the Camera
Plug into power, or charge battery-powered models for about 3 hours with a 5V/2A USB power adapter.
Turn on the camera.

Connect to Camera Hotspot Wi-Fi
Select and connect to the camera hotspot.
The device ID may start with G, F, or B.
Slow flashing blue light indicates Standby/AP Mode.
“Unsecured Network” is normal for the camera hotspot.

Choose Wi-Fi Mode
Open LookCam. A Wi-Fi setup prompt will appear.
Tap “OK” to configure the camera for your home Wi-Fi.
Tap “Cancel” to remain in AP Mode.

Connect to Home Wi-Fi
Select your home 2.4GHz or 5GHz Wi-Fi.
Enter the correct Wi-Fi password.
Then tap “OK”.

Wait for Connection

Wait approximately 40 seconds.
Tap “Keep Wait” if needed. “WiFi Configuration Successful” confirms setup.

Change Camera Password
Once the camera is online, change the default password 123456.

About This OVOLAPTICS Camera Wi-Fi Setup Guide
This quick setup guide is for compatible OVOLAPTICS cameras using the LookCam app and supporting 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi. It covers initial camera setup, connecting to the camera hotspot, connecting the camera to a home Wi-Fi network, changing the default camera password, continuous SD card recording, and motion-triggered recording.
During setup, the camera creates its own Wi-Fi hotspot. Seeing “Unsecured Network” when connecting to this hotspot is normal. To connect the camera to your home network, open LookCam and follow the Wi-Fi setup prompt. If you want to remain in direct AP Mode instead, tap “Cancel” at the Wi-Fi setup prompt.
